ImageMaster Version 4.5 Notes
The 4.5.12 version of ImageMaster will be the final Version 4 release.
There are a number of issues that have been discovered in the core that will be addressed in ImageMaster Version 5. Users of ImageMaster 4.50.12 who encounter these issues can utilize the suggested workarounds in advance of receiving the new version.
| Issue | Solution |
| At certain points in the program (most notably after scanning) it is possible for certain dialogs to get completely hidden behind a larger Data Entry window. When this occurs, it "appears" that ImageMaster is frozen. Fortunately it is not. | Using the mouse, click on the title bar for the Data Entry
window and drag the entire window down on the screen to reveal the hidden
dialog box. Click on the hidden dialog box to bring it forward, answer the
question (dismiss the dialog box), and then drag the Data Entry window back
to its usual position. In order to avoid this problem, when clicking on the ImageMaster window to bring it forward using the mouse, click ONLY on the application title bar or the taskbar button for ImageMaster. |
| Attempting to Erase Pages with the Scanning or Import/Export Module from a document on disk at a workstation that is not configured for scanning generates an error. | Only attempt to use the Erase Pages function from a
workstation that is configured for scanning. If you receive this error, end the ImageMaster task immediately to recover. |
| If a successful search is performed in the Viewing Module (which results in one or more documents being found) and then the operator goes into the Scanning Module and attempts to do assisted mode scanning where all the fields are populated from barcodes, the system will attempt to append the new scans to the document on disk. (After displaying the appropriate, but erroneous warning.) | Either Quit ImageMaster prior to going between the Viewing
and Scanning modules in this case. Or, at the warning dialog, choose "Re-enter Filing Information". Go back into Data Entry and edit any field. Then choose Done and a new document will be created correctly. |
| Open Preset Lists (OVRPLV) when the user chooses to add a new value at time of scan AND immediately prior used the search function to lookup a previously saved scan set (which was located), the system will attempt to append the new scans to the document on disk. (After displaying the appropriate, but erroneous warning.) | At the warning dialog, choose "Re-enter Filing Information". Go back into Data Entry and edit any other field except for the one being controlled by the overridden preset list. Then choose Done and a new document will be created correctly. |
| Cannot use Preset Lists on the same field that is receiving Barcodes on a specific page #. (The preset list is lost when both of these settings are combined.) | Select Barcode in Batch and in most cases the desired results will be the same (barcodes on the 1st page anyway) and the preset list will also function properly. |
